Cowie Thistle 3 - 0 Edinburgh North

Cowie moved into the 3rd round of the Scottish Cup with a deserved win over Edinburgh North today.

In front of a decent crowd Cowie took an early lead after 7 minutes when a long throw from Duke was flicked on by McCombie and CRAN did well to finish at the back post.

They doubled the lead in similar circumstances in 15 minutes when Dukes throw was this time headed on by the defender and BADGER finished high into the net.

Cowie were full of confidence now, playing some good football but making the wrong choice in the final third, whilst limiting Edinburgh to set pieces chances.

The game was effectively over in the 65th minute when again a long throw from Duke was missed by the defender and BADGER tapped in at the back post.

Cowie then had more chances to increase the lead but some good defending and goalkeeping kept the score down and Edinburgh finished with 10 men as their frustrations grew.

Great all round performance, into the next round where we will play Beacon away from home.
