Echt 3 - 1 Cowie Thistle
Our first league game since October and a similar result as Echt claimed all 3 points today.
Cowie got off to a horrific start and were 2-0 down after 9 minutes with poor defending allowing Echt to score in 3 minutes and then a deflected shot making it 2-0.
Cowie came back into it as the tackles were flying in and missed a couple half chances before MUTLY got a goal back on 23 minutes, flicking in a Duguid corner at the near post.
Mutly then had another chance shortly after but the keeper made a great save and against the run of play Echt made it 3-1 just before half time when yet again poor play out wide allowed the cross to come in and was deflected in for an unfortunate own goal.
Cowie had most of the play 2nd half but couldn't break down an organised Echt side as chances were limited.
Disappointing to lose a close game but can't give teams a 2-0 goal headstart so early in matches like this.
