Cowie made hard work of beating 1st Division side Continental this afternoon but despite the very poor performance are still through to the next round.

Cowie made the perfect start when KNOWLES headed in at the back post in the 2nd minute. The rest of the 1st half was completely forgetful as Cowie were comfortable in possession but weren't creating much in the final third.

They made it 2-0 just after half time when a Continental defender showed the Cowie strikes how's its done by finishing into his own top corner from the edge of the box!

Continental got a goal back in the 55th minute that their hard work deserved, Cowie dominated the rest of the game and weren't in much danger of losing the game but weren't creating much chances and when they did, the finishing was poor.

A really flat performance, thinking it would be too easy against a side who've struggled in their league this season, big improvements required next week.
