Another win for Cowie tonight but one that they were made to work hard for before eventually seeing off Alford.

An even start with no real chances created until Cowie took the lead in 20th minute when a Duguid free kick was met at the back post by SALMOND who fired into the roof of the net.

Alford looked to hit on the break and Cowie had to make some last ditch blocks to keep the score 1-0 at HT.

Into the 2nd half and Cowie had a great chance to double the lead but Buck put his shot wide from 6 yards out.

Cowie made a change in the 65th minute bringing Knowles on and 2 minutes later it was his driving run and shot which was blocked, the ball fell to McDonald and his cross was headed home by BUCK who made no mistake this time.

The game was sealed in the 80th minute when Salmond headed across goal and McDONALD flicked in.

Cowie were awarded a late penalty but Badgers effort was saved by the keeper but they made it 4-0 in injury time when Badger crossed and McDONALD took a touch before finishing past the keeper.

A tough game but an important victory and back to another clean sheet after Saturdays defeat.
