Old Catton Juniors F.C. U1 3 vs 1 Costessey Jets (B)

Firstly can I say how proud I am of that performance today and how you should be, to match for majority of the game a team two divisions higher just shows how far you have come.

It’s the proof you needed that you are capable of playing in a higher division, so now we need to focus on winning our remaining games to get promoted!

In terms of the cup we are now entered into the Kappa Trophy with all the other teams that got knocked out in round 1 and 2, so watch out for that after Xmas.

The game was very enjoyable and you all played well, again. Apart from the first 15 minutes when we were a little nervous and conceded we won the midfield, created chances and defended well.

The things to learn are focused on the two mistakes which ultimately lost us the game, but forget them, learn from them and we move forward;

1- if you are out of position you have to talk to a team mate so they cover, you have to help each other be flexible with positions on the pitch

2- if defender and keeper are not sure who is going to clear the ball, one of you needs to take charge and make it yours, calling a name loadly to not let the opposition in.

All in all, a great test of our progress and some great football played, let’s beat Drayton and lakenheath now!:)
