Corby Pegasus FC Reserves 2 vs 1 Bugbrooke St Michaels 'B'

A poor start from Pegasus seen them concede a penalty in the opening 3 minutes after a mistimed challenge from Scott Porch. The Bugbrooke player sent stand in keeper Stephen Skinner the wrong way to make it 0-1. Pegasus took their time to re-group as poor attitudes began to over shadow some neat play. This continued right up until the 35th minute when Andy Kyle picked the ball up inside the Bugbrooke half and then ran the rest of the way towards goal before coolly sliding it in the corner to make it 1-1. The second half Pegasus began to control the play and created some good opportunities before Lee Sinclair picked up the ball from a sliced Lee Thomsom effort, he then rolled the ball in the far corner to make it 2-1. Despite some more long balls and set pieces from Bugbrooke, Pegasus comfortably seen the game out. The 5 changes that were made in the final 15-20 minutes were a big factor in this also. Final score 2-1 to Pegasus. This was by no means a usual pretty performance for Peg, they were made to battle and dig into a scrappy game. But they were able to show a different side to their game which is very reassuring. Roll on the Semi Finals.
