Consett Central FC 4 vs 3 Craghead Legion

Solid game by everyone sees us carry on to the next round of the cup. Our captain for today, Owen Lee was the hero we needed to see the game out with some outstanding goals, especially the free kick.

With many of our lads injured or failing to show up, Soupsy had to make some drastic changes to the team, placing Dan Lumley in goal for a comfortable game between the sticks, while resident keeper Andy stepped in left back.

The first half saw us dominate the pitch, and only conceding when we switched off just before the whistle.

Conor Burns had a solid game up top, holding the ball and making the runs in behind the defence before nabbing a goal at the front post from a corner.

In the centre, Jack Wilkes controlled the play of the game perfectly, spotting the necessary passes and through balls to keep the attacking pressure.

Unfortunately we couldn't hold our strong lead with many injuries seeing players have to come off, and saw us concede two in the second half.

Overall, solid game by everyone today, a well needed win. UP THE LADS!! ??????
