Bartons Willows 4 vs 0 Coddenham Athletic

A day to forget from the Cod Army.

A depleted squad travelled to Walsham to face relegation threatened Bartons.

The first 20 minutes of this we never got going, Bartons deserved to be leading, only due to the woodwork and Rhys Mitchell in the Coddenham goal it was kept at 0-0.

We were allowed to get a foot hold on the game, we made some really good chances just before half time, but it was Willows who took the lead on 40 minutes.

The 2nd half we changed our shape and went back to 3-5-2.

Which seemed to have worked, we were creating some excellent openings and deserved to level, but after all the hard work, a long ball caught us out and Willows doubled there lead.

Willows made it 3 when the player sold the whole back line one way and dropped his shoulder and hit home.

The 4th came 5 minutes later when the big forward was found unmarked to hit home from 8 yards.

A very disappointing display, especially after the last 2 months going unbeaten.

We will take it in our stride and move on.
