Claregate Park Rangers 0 vs 4 FC Premier

This afternoon's Martyn Chell Cup group game ended in a 4-0 victory for visitors FC Premier.

Premier were quick out of the blocks and went 2-0 up after goals on 13 and 15 minutes then added a third on 26 minutes in a half that saw the visitors take control of the game. An injury to Nathan Garratt in the 1st half meant Adam Goode came on to replace him.

The 2nd half saw an improvement from Claregate but failed to create many clear cut chances in a game where our attacking form left a lot to be desired. Premier scored the 4th and final goal of the game on 50 minutes. Jon Wilson had a goal ruled out for offside on 86 minutes after Andrae Brown lifted a ball over the defence.

Overall, a mediocre performance from Claregate and a well deserved win for Premier who threatened in their attacks throughout the game.

Subs used were Andrae Brown on for Josh Hodson and Sam Wapshott on for Danny Rai.

Man of the match for Claregate went to Adam Goode for his overall work rate but also a mention to skipper Tom Banks who also gave a good individual performance.
