Claregate Park Rangers 3 vs 2 Compton Harriers

Yesterday's friendly ended in a 3-2 victory for Claregate against Compton Harriers, maintaining the 100% home record so far in pre season.
Claregate dominated much of the first half and found themselves 2-0 up. The first goal scored by Rodney "Trotter" Williams who lofted the ball over the keeper after racing on to a flick on from Jon Wilson. The second goal was scored by Kevin Haughton after Mark Jackson brought the ball out from the back and played in Trotter to find Kev who rifled in his finish. Compton pulled one back after the ball bounced around the box before they slotted it past stand in keeper Ste Ashwin. Compton then equalised from a free kick. The winning goal though was scored by Kevin Haughton who chased a Marc "Tommo" Thomas flick on to tap past the keeper for his second goal of the game. MOTM went to Nathan Garratt, a commanding presence in the back line. Other players involved were Lee Clutterbuck, Mickey Broome and Thomas Banks.
A thank you to both Steven Ashwin and Thomas Banks who stepped in to take on managerial duties while manager Gary Cooper is on holiday.
