Claregate Park Rangers 3 vs 8 Bushbury Arms Rovers

High flying Claregate were brought back down to earth with a bump today after a humbling 8-3 defeat to Bushbury Arms Rovers who were every bit as good as the scoreline suggests.
An early injury to Dale Elliott meant a reshuffle and Steven Cater entering the action from the bench. Bushbury took an early lead before Steven Cater worked hard to pressure the keeper receiving a backpass to force an equaliser. That's as good as the 1st half got for Claregate as Bushbury scored a further 4 without reply going into half time 5-1 down.
The 2nd half saw Bushbury grab a 6th but Sam Wapshott scored the pick of the goals with a long range effort into the top bin. Jon Wilson was then brought down by the Bushbury keeper inside the box and Jon tucked away the resulting penalty to make it 6-3. Bushbury pushed on though and added 2 more before full time to take a well deserved 3 points. Other players involved were Lee Clutterbuck and Ste Ashwin. MOTM went to Steven Cater for his tireless work rate.
Collectively Claregate were not at the races today but look forward to taking on Division 1 champions Pensnett Panthers next week.
