Walton Casuals Under 12 Ti 1 vs 3 Chipstead Youth Under 12 W

Chipstsad comfortably overcame a Walton Casuals side despite playing on an artificial surface with small goals and narrow pitch.

Within 3 mins Aydan opened the scoring from a pinpoint pass from Arthur. Thereafter Chipstead continued to play a quick passing game though despite several chances were unable to add to the score. In the latter stages of the first half Walton began to mount a number of attacks on the Chipstead goal with Nico having to make a series of clearances from the back. Due to the small size of the pitch Walton were able to employ their long throw specialist which Chipstead's back three were often hard pressed to clear.

The second half saw Nico switching to a striking role with Jack taking over GK duties. Quick runs by Nico created several scoring chances and in the 45th minute Chipstead doubled their lead when a shot from Nico was saved and Aydan put in the rebound.

Despite this setback Walton continued to mount a number of attacks with Jack saving a shot following a goalmouth scramble. The opponents were duly rewarded when they pulled a goal back after Chipstead failed to provide sufficient defensive cover when going for a third killer goal.

Stung by this setback, Chipstead mounted a series of attacks pinning Walton back in their own half. A series of fine saves by their opponents goalkeeper kept Chipstead from adding further to their lead.

The continuous pressure was finally rewarded when Sonny taking a free kick from distance scored a fine goal placing the ball in the top left of the goal.

Overall a good team performance with every player making a positive contribution to the game. MOTM was Desmond.
