Epsom and Ewell Colts U13 2 vs 1 Chipstead Youth U13 Whites

Once again Chipstead failed to carry over their good form from their previous match losing 2-1 to an Epsom side that seemed to want the win more than Chips.

Starting with a number of fringe players, Chipstead pressed their lower league oopponents and deservedly went one up with a first goal from Arthur.

Expectations from the Chips suporters however, were soon dashed as Epsom fought back to equalise seven minutes later after a Chips defender failed to clear a ball and despite a save from Nico, the resultant rebound was duly dispatched.

In spite of a seious of substitutions Chipstead never really recovered from this setback. The midfield failed to provide service to Tiago who had to resort to dropping back in order to get the ball. Worringly, the defence lost composure and frequently were unable to get the ball away which led to the second goal. A clearance failed to clear Epsoms pressing midfield and when the ball was put back into the area, Aydan was unlucky to have a penalty given against him which was duly converted.

Unfortunately Chipstead were unable to raise their game following this set back and rarely threatened Epsom's goal.
