Cheam Rovers 3 vs 2 Sutton Kings

Finally, a win has returned to Cheam Rovers. We've been in terrible form, 9 games, and nearly 5 months without a win. This one felt good against a team that had celebrated a draw with us last time round.

Sutton took the lead within the first 5 minutes after we failed to clear our lines, and you couldn't help but think - here we go again... The first 15 minutes saw Sutton dominate possession, with their midfield having nothing but time to dictate play. We kept our heads and slowly began to get our foot on the ball after nearly a month without a game.

A lovely flick on from Matt in the middle found James who managed to slot through to Sam, who finished nicely to draw us level, as simple as that. We grew in confidence, and it wasn't much longer before Matt delivered a lovely cross that picked out James at the back post for a great first-time finish. 2-1 Cheam HT.

A number of huge opportunities that were missed by us were bound to come and bite us later. We could have buried the game and hit another 3 or 4 goals, but before you knew it, Sutton had then started to come back at us and was knocking for the equaliser. Around 85 minutes played, and Sutton hit a volley from distance that flew in, 2-2 and ANOTHER game thrown...!?
