With Westbury Conservative Club missing out on a fixture, Semington FC who are currently leading the way to finish as Division Three runners-up behind The Dursley Arms took full advantage of the situation they found themselves in. A 5-1 win away at Cavalier FC means that Nathan Keegan’s side are 8 points clear of the Cons’ Club who have played 3 fewer games, but still have Semington and Dursley to play.
Adam Bewley may have given Cavalier the lead on 20 minutes, but they found themselves 2-1 down at the break as goals from Eddie Janion who equalised on 30 minutes with a good finish into the bottom corner and Danny Rimmer who found the net after latching onto a Chris Dore through ball put the visitors in charge.
Matt Jenkins delightful finish made it 3-1, Nathan Keegan’s knock down from a corner was turned in by Cameron Evans to give Semington their fourth and Matt Russell’s shinned effort from a yard out completed the scoring.
