Cavalier FC 2 vs 1 Forest AFC

Cavalier FC may have suffered a 3-1 defeat away at Forest AFC but a 2-1 win on home soil saw them avenge that loss and claim a third straight win.

A Leigh Blanchard tap in put the Cavalier ahead at half time, but they really should have been out of sight as they dominated the opening 45 minutes. With the wind against them in the second half Cavalier gave away a sloppy goal straight away Richard Plumtree’s long range effort crept into the bottom corner and shortly after they were lucky not to concede a second. Another long range effort flashed just wide of the post.

Cavalier came back to life and kept pushing on and Leigh Blanchard, Dave Young and Jack Lenaghan all went close to regaining them the lead, in the end it was super substitute Will Musgrove, who made his return after nearly 2 seasons away, grabbed the vital winner, stabbing home from close range and wrapping up the 3 points.
