Bolton AFC 0 vs 2 Bury AFC Unders A - Green

The greens went into this match full of confidence from a battling display in their last match. The early encounter of the two teams finished with a 5-0 loss early in the season, so could the greens find a way to put that result right this afternoon?

The game started in a lively manner, with the opposition looking dangerous from the start but didn't create anything. The greens had plenty of opportunities, but again, like the first game, their goalkeeper was in top form. The game could have been out of sight in the first half, but once again, Sophie came up with a wonderstrike similar to Bex's goal last week. It was a great finish, which gave Bury a deserved lead going into the break.

The message was to look after the ball and try and exploit the big gaps on the pitch. The green team executed this down to a tee, and the football being played from the goalkeeper to the defenders and then through to our attacking players was a joy to watch. We controlled the ball and patiently waited for the right opportunity to strike again. Bex carrying on her fine form of goals after a superb assist from Danielle pass (SHOT).
