Bury AFC Rec Team - Under 5 vs 2 AFC Stockport Bees Women

The green team went Into this match with 2 wins out of 3 games. The message was to be on the front foot from the first whistle and the team started really well. A goal against the run of play for Stockport with a great finish.

This setback made the team stronger and responded with a brilliant through ball to Marita who finished brilliantly to get the game back level.

A Great display by Steff in the midfield to get a foothold and give the forwards an opportunity to be released. Lucy and Bex where giving Stockport nightmares and it was only a matter of time before the next opportunity came. Bex struck the ball sweetly into the bottom corner to give Bury the lead just before half time.

The second half message was simply to keep playing the right way and creat more chances to score. Fantastic set peices were finished nicely by Hanna and Sophie. Hanna doubled her tally with a near similar goal, getting her first 2 goals for the team in recreational league.

Another soft goal to concede but the scoreline reflected a dominant performance from Bury.
