No game for four weeks, barely any training in the mid-week, yet the first week back BBOB have a double header to deal with! Luckily manager Steve Maskell had a big squad to pick from! Ryan Satterly remained in goal for the absent Craig Watson, who is currently recovering from a 'groin' injury! The same back four from the previous match started, Michael (Titch) McMahon returned to the team for the first time this year, and there was a new BBOB strike pairing in Matt Barton & Dan Kuxhaus.

BBOB started the game quite strong but found themselves falling behind after a Midway forward gathered a wayward defensive pass and after a good passing move, a first time effort from 12 yards rocketed past the stranded Ryan Satterly. The deficit lasted just 6 minutes as BBOB broke down the left, Midway only half cleared, the ball was won well by Dan Buchanan and his forward pass found midfielder Howard Lloyd who cleverly lifted his shot over the Midway keeper into the net.

BBOB took the lead just three minutes later; again after some good work down the right hand side, the ball was fired into the Midway box by Howard Lloyd and was bundled over the line by Matt Barton. In the 23rd minute Dan Kuxhaus put BBOB further ahead with a perfectly hit free kick some 30 yards from goal, beating the Midway keeper who was at full stretch.

BBOB had further chances to increase the lead before half time, Dan Kuxhaus narrowly missed after being played into space in the Midway area, firing his shot just over the bar.

Three changes were made by Steve Maskell at half time; the front two were replaced by John Tibbs & Tom Bunting. Left back Gavyn Mewett was replaced by Ben Laingchild, who played at left midfield, with Dan Buchanan dropping to left back. BBOB had to battle to preserve their lead, and were successful in doing so; they had to defend more in the half but were able to deal with anything Midway threw at them!

The best BBOB chances came from corners, with both centre backs Dan Edwards & Adam Leaver on separate occasions, Dan Edwards connected well with a glancing header but the ball just cleared the bar and Adam Leaver fired his chance some distance over the bar!

Final score BBOB 3 Midway 1 (but this was really only half time!!).
