BoC F.C. 5 vs 2 Westway Warriors

Cesar was moonlighting for Kew on the next pitch against Harretons, so hopefully that was a one off!

A couple of late drop outs on the day, but we managed to get a team out and as luck would have it Westway turned up missing their usual striker and goalkeeper.

We played some nice stuff. a marauding Michael setting up Chris for the first and it was 1-0 at the break.

Second half we stretched the lead, poor goalkeeping clearance and Josh scored into an empty net from distance wide on the left. Lovely reverse pass from Latch and Tom finished it for 3-0. When Paul scored after a bit of a scramble we were hoping to earn a rare clean sheet, but a hopeful ball down the middle and a bit of a blind hook from their striker and somehow it crept into the side of the net.

Still time for a goal from distance by Paul to restore the 4 goal advantage and a great curling shot by the oppo midfielder, in off the post with Tyson having no chance.

5-2 and a long overdue win. We will slightly gloss over the fact that they had 10 men for a part of the second half because it was a well deserved win, with us playing passing, attacking football.

All of the ringers played well and for a change we will give the MotM to one of them: Michael for an all action display, although Matteo not far behind IMO.
