I had some concerns before the match started because we had a couple of late dropouts, but in this case we got quite lucky with the ringers and clinically dispatched Harretons, who played some very good football but were a bit blunt in attack.
A lovely cross from Charlie was met a bit weakly by Cesar, but that should really have been 1-0. The actual first goal was a Maradona-esque run through the middle of the Harretons defence by Paul, one of the 5-a-side players, who is a very decent player.
For the second, Paul put Cesar through and Cesar slotted it past the onrushing goalie. Harretons claims of a knee to the nuts, but we think it was sour grapes.
Third was good work on the wing and a pull back which Tony scored from distance.
They had a few chances - could have done better with a couple of headers, Rich cleared a shot I spilled before they could get the rebound, they hit the post when it looked easier to score, but we held out for a rare clean sheet.
Rich 1/2 in goal, Stu and Hoof 1/4 each.
