BoC F.C. 2 vs 2 BGC

A fine layer of ice on the Battersea astro was a bit tricky and downright dangerous, some might say. Lots of slip ups, the most spectacular of which was a full dive and landing on his face from Andy. Luckily no harm done.

BGC have beaten us a lot, so it looked a bit ominous when a long ranger sailed over Tyson. But we got back in it from a corner, Sheedy heading in Rich's assist via the underside of the bar.

Second half, Tom replaced Rich and we carried on playing some decent stuff. Fast passing, no- nonsense clearances, robust challenges, all good and fair stuff. Paul got a goal after a charge down from Sheedy but probably would have had more than the one goal to show for his troubles on another day.

So 2-1 and while not quite cruising, we were doing ok. But they lobbed an extra man up top and the pressure started to tell. They won a pen, guy cut in from our right and Conrad, who was having a very steady game, brought him down. 2-2 from the penalty spot.

Still time for Paul to steer one wide, with the keeper beaten, admittedly from a long way out. And of the oppo to claim what they thought was a late winner (on about 75 mins) but Duncan's Rules - or not - that one was offside.

So, 2-2 it finished. Belting game. Absolutely freezing!
