Pretty piss poor start, much bemoaning of the greasy ball – but at least we had a ball unlike the warm up. It could be said that a Zamora miscontrol led to their first goal, but that would imply contact on the ball – they then scored again, quite a spawny one really. Luckily we got back in it galvanised by Zondervan the enforcer and Punters beard. Their defender put a facking bow on the ball and passed it to Jordan who tucked it away and then a nice strike by Nick low into the corner Lothar Matteus style.
Can’t really remember the build up to the last goal, but I think Wayne pulled it back for Latchford to fire home. We were good value for the win in the end, missed a few more chances & then after time was called (*) a great cross from them saw a header against the crossbar that bounced out. Only three in the pub as everyone was “keeping their powder dry” for tonight
(*) Battersea bylaw 17.1 after time has been called, only BoC goals get recorded in the stats. So it wouldn’t have counted anyway
