Blues South West U13 1 vs 3 Bristol Inner City

A slow start from Blues and lack of concentration allowed Bristol to get through twice early on and finish. Blues fought back and created a number of golden opportunities but not taken.

Throughout the game Bristol kept the ball well and Blues blocked well, very tactical from both sides. More chances wasted by Blues in the middle part of the game but defended well.

In the last 20 Blues had to press high and try to affect the game. The ball over the top allowed for Liam to get through and take it around the keeper, he looked to have taken it too wide but a fantastic finished pulled Blues back in the game. Blues pressured Bristol but Bristol kept the ball well at times. The game was fought with passion from both teams, very physical but in the spirit and passion from both teams. Bristol won a free kick that was excellent delivered, coming off a blues player for an own goal which killed the game.

Great spirit from the boys, the loss will hurt but the character shown now needs to continue for the rest of the season.
