In a closely contested league match at Bishops on 8th October 2024, Bishop's High School fell to a single goal defeat against Scarborough Sec U19, with the match concluding at 1-0. The game kicked off at 4:00pm, and despite a spirited performance, Bishop's were unable to find the back of the net.

Bishop's High School lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, designed to provide a solid defensive base while allowing for attacking flair. Varel Wilson took his place in goal, shielded by a back four consisting of Mikael Frank on the right, Brendon Allum and Justin Henry in central defence, and Josiah Melville on the left. The midfield duo of Justin Antoine and Khaleel Job were tasked with controlling the centre of the park, while Jaeden Anthony and Jaden McLean operated as right and left attacking midfielders respectively, supporting lone striker Makeil Kerr, who was expected to lead the line with pace and power.

The only substitution for Bishop's came early in the match, just 15 minutes in, when Breydon Nurse replaced Justin Antoine in a tactical switch. This early change set the tone for a match that would see Bishop's High School struggle to create clear-cut chances against a resolute Scarborough defence.

As the first half progressed, both teams battled for control, but neither could break the deadlock before the interval. The teams went into half-time with the score still level, as Bishop's looked to regroup and find a way to penetrate the Scarborough backline.

The second half saw Bishop's High School push for an opening goal, but it was Scarborough Sec U19 who struck first. In the 70th minute, the visitors took the lead with a well-placed shot from inside the box, scored with the right foot from close range. This goal proved to be the decisive moment of the match, leaving Bishop's with a mountain to climb in the final stages.

Despite their best efforts to respond, Bishop's High School could not find an equaliser, and the match ended with Scarborough Sec U19 celebrating their hard-fought victory. The defeat was a disappointment for Bishop's, who will need to regroup and focus on their next fixture as they seek to bounce back in the league.
