Santos Sports 6-0 Pilks Panthers

Back to Brookvale today for the last game of the year. Both teams agreed to play 6-a-side to give the boys more playing time on a cold day.

It took us a little while to get used to less space but soon enough the boys started to pass the ball and make right decisions. Luca scored a nice finish after good work from Harry, followed by a wonder goal from Eddie, a mazy dribble full of tricks and a nice finish. There was a long passing move just before half time that was great to see and almost resulted in another goal.

Pilks started well second half and put the pressure on, but Ezra was flawless in goal. Both Oliver and Blake in defence hardly put a foot wrong and read the game really well, while Leo settled really well into a new role in defence and his corner resulted in another goal. Abel scored a quality free kick and went close with another, while Eddie and Luca also added to their first half goals with nice finishes.

The hard work from the front players, solid partnership play from the defenders and alert goalkeeping through the whole game made this a really impressive team performance, and probably our best performance of the year, a great way to sign off 2025.
