On 28 September 2025, Beckenham Town KYL U15 hosted AFC Gravesend U15 at Club Langley in an 11-a-side fixture kicking off at 10:00am. The match concluded with a resounding 8-1 victory for Beckenham Town, showcasing their attacking prowess and defensive solidity over the course of 80 minutes plus added time under the watchful eye of referee Stephen Luke.

The first half saw Beckenham Town impose their rhythm early, controlling possession and pressing high up the pitch. A deserved goal from Joe after some neat work by Turkson out wide to create a cross, was all that Beckenham had to show for their dominance. A goalkeeping blunder allowed the ball to roll into the net drawing Gravesend level. By the 40th minute half-time whistle, The visitors, AFC Gravesend, whilst not creating much, had managed to contain the attacking talent of Beckenham.

In the second half, Beckenham Town came out firing. Turkson. Had switched wings, and was now having success. To quick goals scored in similar fashion with Turkson bursting into the half space and find accurate crosses for Joe to finish, making it 3-1 shortly after the restart.

A close penalty call went against Beckenham when Dom M was clipped from behind as he was bursting to rough on goal, the opposition linesman and the referee deciding contact was just outside the area. Much to the complaints of the Beckenham support and management. Any reprieve was short lived however, when the Gravesend defender had an awkward fall whilst attacking in the Beckenham area. A suspected broken arm meant he had to leave the field of play. Unfortunately there were no Gravesend substitutes to replace him, meaning Gravesend had to go with he game with 10 men.

The Beckenham pressure became relentless. adding to their tally with clinical finishing and intelligent movement off the ball. Dominic Morgan grabbing the 4th, Joe the 5th, Turkson the 6th and 7th, and Dominik H scoring the 8th. his first since returning, a canon from just inside the area.

The home team’s defensive organisation ensured that Gravesend’s attacking efforts were largely stifled, preventing any sustained pressure or meaningful threat on goal.

Joe Ingliss and Turkson Appiah were named players of the match, a testament to their influential performances. Ingliss’s contribution likely involved key moments in attack or midfield, while Appiah’s impact may have been felt on both wings.
