Ballymun utd 2009 0 vs 3 Ballyfermot united

The lads hosted high flying Ballyfermot on May 4th hoping to put a dent in their title hopes, they also wanted to redeem themselves from the previous fixture in December. Ballymun started brightly as always dominating early stages and creating some great chances on goal. Story of the season continued and a lack of concentration and communication saw a long ball played over the back line to which was followed by their 9 who shot and with a bit of luck fell under the keepers legs and into the net for 1-0. As the game went on ballymun knocked on the door numerous times but couldn’t find the net, Ballyer then doubled their lead with the keeper shooting a long ball down the middle of the pitch missed by both our centre halves and it fell to their 9 who Cooly slotted for 2. Ballymun came out second half and almost got in early but confidence in front of goal seemed to be the problem and we didn’t capitalise, Ballyer didn’t really cause any trouble until late on when we should have cleared a loose ball which was hooked over into the net and sealed all 3 points in a disappointing morning for the young mun.
