Baldyole 0 vs 0 Ballymun utd 2009

Ballymun travelled to Racecourse park on Saturday for an early 10am kick off against bottom of the table Baldyole United. Ballymun started off strong and asked the question of the Baldyole back line early on, the wind played its part for both sides making it difficult to play ball. When Ballymun moved the ball quick they looked easy on the eye, looked very comfortable in possession but couldn’t find the killer pass to break the deadlock, Baldyole tried to hit us on the break a couple of times but Daniel commanded the back line and had the answer for anything thrown our way. LJ had some good efforts at goal which were fumbled by the keeper and we were to slow to react on the rebound.. as the game progressed Ballymun looked more and more dominant but couldn’t find a goal to make up for all the hard work. Rian came on and was a great addition to the front line adding pace intensity and that extra bite needed up top. He came very close to scoring his first with a brilliant effort inside the box that was touched over the bar by the keeper, Ballymun had the ball in the net at the last second of the game but the referee had blown the whistle while we were on the attack which led to some frustration. We take the point and move onto next week. Cian Borromeo and LJ had strong games in the middle of the park and Daniel Clonan was emmense once again at the back??
