Ashby Ivanhoe Knights 4 vs 8 Winshill Romans

A frustrating game this morning which ended in defeat against a team one level above us. It’s frustrating because we all know as coaches, parents, supporters & players that we can play much better than how we did today. We have all seen it! Having said that, for us to score four goals against an established side that are a level above us is a real positive to take. Captain Ben scored a penalty to maintain his 100% record on putting them away, Some great link up play between Jax, Jude & player of the match George enabled new top scorer Jude to grab another goal & Jax to score two in his second game up front. That’s now 7 in 2 for Jax the target man. We created some good opportunities at times and linked up well up front so although it feels frustrating, we can be very proud of the lads, they have been absolutely fantastic ??
