Ambassadors battled to well deserved win in a tough fixture v Chapel.

Opening 10 minutes was an even affair with neither team troubling the opposition keeper, then as Ambassadors grew into the game Touclet broke down the left channel and was brought down in the box for a penalty. Noller stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way from the spot, Ambassadors had much the better of the play for next 10 minutes and this was rewarded when Noller swung a free kick into the box and Oppe rose to head the ball home. At this point Ambassadors then seemed to sit back and Chapel came back into the game. Treagus pulling off a world class save after it seemed the striker was sure to score. Then on 35 mins as Chapel continued to push Sharpe mistimed a tackle on the Chapel forward and they got a penalty of their own which was duly converted. Chapel continued to press up to half time but Ambassadors weathered the storm and got to half time at 2-1 up.

The second half got off to the worse possible start as Chapel got the equaliser as Jones didn't clear and the striker pounced to score after Treagus made the initial save. With Chapel looking to edge ahead Ambassadors made two subs in quick succession with Hooper and Turner coming on for Jones and Sharp.

Ambassadors slowly came back into the game and after some building pressure retook the lead from a goal mouth scramble as Alex Chivers-Gibbs shot was saved and Touclet nodded home the rebound. Ambassadors were looking the stronger team now and after a couple of wasted chances Oppe got the ball down the right and rounded the keeper and Alex Chivers-Gibbs stabbed the ball home to give the home team a two goal advantage with 15 minutes to go. The game settled and Chapel looked for the long ball over the top to try and get back into the game but Treagus and the Ambassadors defence dealt with the threat and saw out the game to seal the win.

Man of the Match: Richard Treagus, A Couple of fantastic saves alongside solid play and distribution all game.
