AFC Putney 1st Team 3 vs 0 Parklife FC 1st Team

Putney kick off the new year with there first game back again current league leaders Parklife fc.

Parklife defeated Putney earlier in the season with a 1-0 win, Putney’s aim was to gain revenge today for the loss and also be in contention of possibly winning the league.

Putney started the game off very well and they looked assertive in there approach. Parklife has a couple chances against the run of players in the first 20 minutes but after that it was pretty much all Putney.

Elton grabbed Putney’s first goal with a simple tap in from a long throw and flick in by Daniel smith.

The goal really settled Putney down with both cm’s starting to take control of the game. With about 30 minutes gone tesfa picked up what looked like a bad injury to his quad and was forced to come off for Mikey lambert (mystro).

HALF TIME 1-0

The gaffer at half time just had a simple message for the boys don’t stop working hard and the chances will come .

The second half the front 2 of Elton and Adoo was causing the Parklife back 4 so many problems with there pace and power. Putney was really going through the gears in the 2nd half and was just creating chance after chance. Parklife really didn’t offer much with both full back Alex and Anthony keeping there wingers very quiet.

Putney got a penalty which Vigan converted to make it 2-0.

It didn’t take Mikey that long to get his stamp on the game literally controlling and playing the game and his pace with nothing phasing him.

Putney continued to press for goals and which they was rewarded with with Elton picking up his 2nd of the game which was a nice short pass by ray in the box.

The 4th goal didn’t come to long after, by a lovely run and finish by Elton to pick up his hatrick.
