Abbey Youth Wasps 3 vs 1 Leaside Colts Red

The Wasps played back on home turf against a BIG Leaside colts side.

The boys showed what they had trained with passing and really worked as a team which was great to see once again.

With no subs today the boys knew they would have to dig deep to keep in the match and dig deep they did. From the start the boys all showed what they were about with Leo taking on all their biggest players, winning the ball all game and nearly scoring to Frankie smashing his way down the wing.

But it was Jack G to get the first goal from a free kick at the half way line, which Leaside quickly levelled off with some quick play.

Half time come and the boys were all told to pick their confidence up and focus and that they done. With Jenson L making some incredible saves and Frankie finally getting well two deserved goals.

All the boys done their jobs and everyone was buzzing afterwards.

Man of the Match went to Jenson L for being fantastic in goal with great saves and clearance balls and we can all see his confidence in goal growing.
